When uploading designs to Spoonflower, you have to order a sample first to check how the design and colours turn out when printed. A swatch measures 8 x 8 inches (=20 x 20 cm); don't just leave them in a box, use them! With the following easy five steps, you can turn your fabric sample into a lovely little lavender bag:

(Of course, you can also use any other piece of fabric.)

1.     Cut your swatch in the middle to get two pieces (8 x 4 Inch = 20 x 10 cm). Be careful that you cut the design in the right way.

2.     Put right sides together and sew it together, leaving about 1.2 inches (3 cm) open

3.     Turn right right side out at the opening, flatten the seam at the opening inwards

4.     Fill it with lavender or lavandin. For a relaxing effect choose lavender, for a moth pillow choose lavandin

5.     Place the seams nicely together and sew it; backstitching

Et voilà! Your lavender bag is finished. A lovely gift for someone you love or for yourself.
